Chrome Applications

Google Drive:  5 GB of storage space. Sharing Drive files is now possible through Gmail, Google+, Twitter, and Facebook.  Uploading files into Drive in their native format (such as MS Word) counts against your storage limit.  The same file uploaded and converted into a Google format does not count against the 5 GB.  Any document created in Google Docs does not count towards the 5 GB storage limit.

Drive Applications:  share applications across the cloud through Drive.  Share just like in Google Docs

How to get there:  Chrome Webstore>Collections>Google Drive

Working Offline

Offline Apps:  install into Chrome and work even when offline.

To get you started:
Laptop:  Download Google Drive from Drive itself (it's on the left margin).  Once everything has been downloaded, it will be available for offline viewing and editing.  Edits done when offline will be updated to the document online when a connection is re-established.

Mobiles:  Nexus 7 and Android Phones:  download the Google Drive app and click and hold on the document, and then select "make available offline" when you are online. Access them when you have no connection by going back to Google Drive and select the push pin icon labeled "Offline."   Note:  these files are viewable only on these devices, you cannot edit them at this time.
